Kittery Community Market is stronger because of the community organizations and mission-driven partners we work with along the way. These partnerships help us expand food access, support local farms and food producers, improve the market experience, and connect more people with fresh local food in meaningful, lasting ways.

Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets
How They Support KCM:
The Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets is a statewide nonprofit whose mission is to cultivate a vibrant, sustainable farmers’ market community as a vital part of Maine’s local food network. Through advocacy, education, market support, and food access programs like Maine Harvest Bucks and Bumper Crop, MFFM helps strengthen farmers’ markets across the state. Their work supports Kittery Community Market by helping expand access to local food, strengthening market systems, and supporting the long-term health of markets like ours.
Seacoast Eat Local
How They Support KCM:
Seacoast Eat Local is a nonprofit organization working to cultivate a resilient, equitable, and community-centered local food system. Through markets, education, and collaboration, they connect producers and consumers with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive. At Kittery Community Market, Seacoast Eat Local helps support SNAP, EBT, and debit transactions, making it easier for more people to shop at the market and access fresh local food. Their broader mission aligns closely with ours by strengthening the connection between local food producers and the communities they feed.

Footprints Food Pantry
How They Support KCM:
Footprints Food Pantry is a local nonprofit dedicated to reducing the impact of hunger in the region while sharing resources and support with the people they serve. Their work goes beyond food distribution by helping create a more welcoming, supportive network for neighbors facing food insecurity. Each year, Footprints partners with Kittery Community Market to provide Footprints clients with $25 market food vouchers to shop with at the market. That partnership helps clients support local vendors, enjoy a wonderful social outing, and shop for fresh, local, unprocessed, and minimally processed foods in a setting that feels welcoming and community-centered.
Vouchers for Veterans
How They Support KCM:
Vouchers for Veterans is a nonprofit organization that honors veterans and active duty service members in Maine and New Hampshire by providing farmers market vouchers to buy food directly from local farmers and food producers. At Kittery Community Market, they join us every Sunday in September and provide eligible veteran and active duty shoppers with $20 in market food vouchers each week. This partnership supports those who have served while also putting more dollars directly into the hands of local vendors and food producers at the market.
